Question Presented
Are[PC1] Maximillian Smith's claims from the television interview admissible?
Brief Answer
The remark was totally voluntary on Maximillian Smith's part; he was under no pressure to make it. On top of that, he confessed in public without having his confession surreptitiously recorded, and he was not shackled while in detention.
Facts
The alleged criminal activity was admitted by Maximillian Smith in a television interview. Our office is going to be able to use Smith's television interview as evidence at his trial, but his lawyer has filed a move to stop us.
Rules of Law[PC2]
As long as they were offered voluntarily, confessions in criminal proceedings in the US or DC are considered admissible as evidence under 18 US Code 3501.
Discussion
Maximillian[PC3] Smith changed his story while the trial was going on. All the corporation has is the confession that aired on TV now. His cooperation makes its use as evidence in court more easier. Maximillian Smith has been instructed by his counsel to cease any communication with our organization and to take action to halt it. He was not forced to confess to the TV, and he was not even wanted for an arrest, so now we have to show that his admission was totally voluntary. Acknowledging his role in the illicit activity, he made an appearance on national television.
Conclusion
If a plea deal is not reached, Maximillian could face conviction along with the businessman due to the evidence. There is a chance that we will find the young women who are victims and can take appropriate action. If the individual decides to cooperate after being convicted, it could be advantageous for the victims to reach a plea agreement.

[PC1]Similar to the unit 2 assignment, be sure to begin your internal memorandum of law with the Question Presented. I strongly recommend following the Under, Does, When, or whether format.
[PC2]Good review of the rule of law. However, you want to provide a brief description of what the law is stating. Be sure that when you provide the description the description is in your own words, and that you do not just copy and paste the source of law.
[PC3]With this being a submission of your rough draft, I was looking for at least a good outline of what you intended to addressed within the analysis section. As this is only the rough draft, be sure to work on the body of your analysis section before you submit the final product during unit 8. Be sure to spend time synthesizing the facts with the law, allowing the reader to come to a clear understanding of what the law says, how it would be applied to these facts, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the case (objectivity).
