Question Set 1: Chi-Square Goodness-of-Fit

A representative sample of 75 customers at a grocery store was surveyed and asked if they prefer their groceries delivered in paper, cloth, or plastic bags. Each participant could only select their one most preferred option. In that sample, 36 preferred a plastic bag, 12 preferred a paper bag, and 27 preferred a cloth bag.

Use Minitab to conduct a chi-square goodness-of-fit test to determine if there is evidence that the proportions of people in the population who would choose a paper bag, cloth bag, or plastic bag are not all equal. Use the five-step hypothesis testing procedure given below.
