Max wished to buy a plot of land at Carlingford. He sent an email to the owner offering to purchase the land for \"a price which could not be refused\" but did not disclose the price he would pay. On receipt of the email from Max, the owner of the land (Frank), responded by asking the exact price Max was willing to pay. Max reverted with a very low price. Frank immediately rejected the offer by email but advised that he would be willing to sell for twice the price offered by Max. Max is concerned that he is now obliged to buy the land for the price proposed by Frank and approaches you for advice. Advise Max of the rules governing the concept of offer under the law of contract. Your answer should refer to relevant caselaw and to the signicance of the Electronic Commerce Act 2000
