HOMEWORK 1 FOR 25 FEBRUARY 2020 Reebok Reebok specializes in the design, marketing anddistribution of sports and fitness products including footwear, apparel and accessories, as wellas footwear and apparel for nonathletic use.The strategy is to start the relationship with consumers earlier and develop that loyalty over theyears. To re-brand Reebok, the company signed big-name rappers to represent the brand. Instead of taking the athletic approach, Reebok is taking the lifestyle approach because rappersare as influential as big-name athletes. The lifestyle approach is a significant differentiator for Reebok compared to other sports shoecompanies. The results of the new brand have been staggering with product launch events aswell attended as record releases. Reebok is creating product lines based on the rappers'preferences and styles, which are directly targeted at the teen market. Due to the rapid change intrends, Reebok has had to learn how to launch products faster and speed up the productdevelopment cycle. Additionally, Reebok has expanded its distribution channels to include alarger variety of retailers. The company has three main product categories: Rbk, Performance and Classic. Each of theseproduct categories features product offerings for both men and women that are designed forspecific consumer groups. Reebok has operations in the United Kingdom, Europe and in variousAsian countries.
