Alwin Lai is the Associate Director of Project & Portfolio Management group at UFV. A certified project practitioner in PPM, Lean Kaizen, Six Sigma, Alwin brings over 15 years of business-IT professionalism in the retail, distribution, transportation, government and academia sectors across Canada. Alwin oversees a team of Project Managers and Analysts for executing various strategic and tactical IT projects for the University. He is responsible for the leadership, guidance and strategic direction of project organization within the Office of the CIO (OCIO). This includes building the IT Project Management and Portfolio framework/ capabilities. Ensuring effective governance of projects, providing accurate and timely project portfolio reporting.

Mohammed Al Nakshabandi

Project Manager

Mohammed Al Nakshabandi is the Project Manager in the Project & Portfolio Management group at UFV. He oversees a number of IT projects at the University. Mohammed has completed his Bachelor of Science, Electronic Systems Engineering from the University of Paisley, Paisley, Scotland and a Master of Business Administration from the American University in London, London England. In addition to his University degrees Mohammed holds many relevant certifications including PMP, COBIT 5, 6 Sigma, ITIL Services to name just a few. With over 15 years of experience in the field of information technology, he has held roles requiring deep technical knowledge of quality assurance and portfolio/program/project management.
