Rajesh has gone on a canoeing trip to the amazon, leaving his apartment keys with his downstairs neighbour Yvette, so that she could feed his pet goldfish. A few days later after Rajesh had left; Yvette noticed that his (Rajesh's) apartment had been broken into and his pet goldfish has been stolen. The thieves had broken several windows and since it was raining heavily, water is now flooding into the apartment. Yvette arranged, at considerable expense, for workmen to repair the broken windows and the flooding has now stopped. On his return Rajesh is now refusing to pay for the cost of repairing the broken windows and is claiming that Yvette had no authority to have the work done. Advise Rajesh of his legal position regarding the repairs. (100 marks)
