Ranjit agrees to purchase from Preeti, a local artist, a custom collar for his cat Moka. Moka is a Siamese cat. Ranjit chooses the colour aquamarine for the collar and carefully selects the colour of the stones which will adorn the collar. Preeti measures Moka for the collar. Ranjit pays 40% of the purchase price in advance. One week later, Preeti texts Ranjit to tell him that the collar is finished. Ranjit is excited to see the collar, so he goes to the bank to collect some cash to pay Preeti, to his apartment to collect Moka, and then heads over to Preeti's studio. When he gets there, Ranjit is disappointed to discover that some of the stones he selected have not been used on the collar. Preeti tells Ranjit that colour of the stones he chose did not match the colour of the collar so she decided not to substitute clear stones instead.
Assume that Ranjit does not wish to complete the purchase. What argument should he make with respect to the design changes to the collar? (3 marks)
