Offender specific crime denotes the ability of the criminal executing a crime successfully. The major elements are: intention, motivation, and skills to act. As such, it is necessary to determine evaluate the following:

-Does the criminal have specific skills

-What is his or her intention

-Do they have the requisite resources to commit the crime

An example would a crime of burglary - for a criminal to engage in such an act first he must know what is contained in person's A dwelling. He or she must also consider the opportunities of doing the crime and escaping without being catch. Further, to successfully commit the crime, he or she must have the requisite skills and tools.
