Read Chapter 13 (including Intro to Data Analytics in Chapter one) at the minimum, and write a concise paper on Data Analytics in Cost Accounting for extra credit scores.

Due 11/27 midnight, for up to 7 points EXTRA-CREDIT that will be used, during semester-end grade calculation, to help boost up your scores on Assignments and Exams.

Early submissions [the first 7 papers clocked in] will be rewarded with another EXTRA early-bird 3 points upfront, earning up to 10 points EXTRA-CREDIT.

Late submissions [submitted no later than 12/10 midnight] will get 1 point penalty deduction upfront, earning up to 6 points EXTRA-CREDIT.

Only completed paper should be submitted. No resubmission is allowed. There will be 1 point deduction for each instance of resubmission.

The format, style, and length limit must follow the Writing a Concise Paper guidelines.

Papers get DEDUCTIONS most frequently for NOT following the Checklist number 1 below. When your paper does not use "I", "my" often, you certainly get deducted. Not following other items [2 -7] also get deducted. My grading comments often include a ? mark or a Letter X followed by the Checklist number not followed, for example, X1 or ?1 tells your paper is devoid of using "I" and "my".

1. Use Active Voice. Use I often. Cite sources at least 1 or more, letting them speak.

2. Cite sources fully, integrating them in your writing. Avoid: It is said . . . . Instead let the speaker come alive: Braun (p.16) says, . . . . I am interested in what she says.

3. The cited sources are listed in References. Dont use footnotes to cite. Use References at end of your paper.

4. Include: The papers TITLE that tells the specific, concrete focus of your interest. Avoid a general, broad topic.

1st paragraph. State, first, your research Question(s): I question: . . . ? to introduce the paper.

2nd paragraph. The Data gathered, citing the sources. Analysis, discussion, and findings in your own words, using "I" or "My" here

3rd paragraph. A concise, yet concrete summary of your paper and your conclusions, again using "I" or "My" here.

4th paragraph. Under the last sub-heading, References, list the cited sources.

5. Your paper must be single spaced, up to 2 pages, Do not exceed 2 pages, single-spaced. If possible, get it done in 1 page.

6. Every page must show your Full Name on the class ROSTER {Last name, First name}.

7. Include Reference at end of your paper
