One of the promises of ecommerce was that there would be an influx of purely-online companies that would enter the market and disrupt the whole retail industry. This has not been the case, though, as bricks-n-olicks retailers still fare better than their purely-online competitors. Blue Nile is a good example of a purely- online company that has fared well financially, but is still not considered as strong as some of it's bricks-n-clicks competitors. Think about a retailer that you have shopped with recently and answer the following: I Is your chosen e-tailer a bricks-n-clicks retailer or a purely-only retailer? I Do you prefer shopping with purely-only retailers or bricks-n- clicks retailers? Or does it even matter? Why or why not?
