Read the case study:
Cambridge University is a prominent institution of higher education with a long-standing tradition of academic excellence. It has been recognized for its outstanding research, high-quality teaching, and exceptional graduates who have gone on to make significant contributions to various fields of study. The university's mission is to provide a comprehensive education that prepares students for leadership and service in a diverse, global society. As such, the university has made a concerted effort to attract students from various backgrounds, cultures, and identities.
However, despite these efforts, there is a significant disparity when it comes to the diversity of the faculty and staff. The majority of the university's faculty and staff are white, and there are very few individuals who identify as members of underrepresented groups. This has resulted in feelings on campus that indicate that it is not inclusive or welcoming to all students, especially Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Students have reported feeling isolated, unsupported, and excluded from the university's community.
Think as the President of the University to develop an initiative to increase the sense of belonging and create leadership opportunities for students on campus while maintaining unity among the student body.
