Be sure you read each amendment carefully and understand its actual meaning before you construct your topic phrase. On the first exam, you will need to be able to:

List the 5 freedoms associated with the First Amendment (speech, assembly, etc.)

Write a topic phrase or sentence for the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th Amendments.

Amendments 5, 6 and 7 convey the rights of accused persons. Since there are several of these in each amendment, you will only need to list one item from each of these amendments.

For the remainder of the amendments, write a topic phrase or sentence.
