Classmate's divorce fraud scheme: In an attempt to conceal assets and income from my soon to be divorced husband, I would choose to liquidate my assets and hide them overseas. In doing so, this will reduce the size of my potential divorce estate and make it harder for my husband and his lawyer to get a hold of my bank statements. I would do this by having a really great friend go on a couple trips to locations out of the country. In doing so, they would take my liquidated assets and put them into a bank overseas where they would be kept away from my husband. I would send somebody else to do this work for me so that it doesn't raise any red flags as to why I am leaving the country in the midst of a divorce. I'm not sure if a friend's trips would come up in an investigation like this one. If it had come up, I would mention that I have no decision making authority over my friends lives and if they want to go on a trip overseas they are more than welcome to do so.
