Read this excerpt below:

I believe the Mount Sinai ticket license is a bilateral contract because it possesses the six elements of a contract (offer, acceptance, consideration, contractual capacity, legality, and no defense). The ticket is an offer for those who wish to park their cars there. Acceptance will occur when someone decides to park their car there. It has consideration attached because it promises to allow parking for those who would like to pay the fee. It also alerts the vehicle owners that they are not liable for any damages. Usually, a person accepting these contract offers will be competent and legally able to take the offer (unless otherwise). The contract is legal and does not seem to be against public policy. Finally, there are no defenses because the contract clearly states that the company is not liable for any damage to the vehicle or personal items inside. The owner of the car will be parking at their own risk. This contract seems to have unity; however, it depends on the circumstances. Every case is different, and there are many aspects to consider in law.
