Read this scenario and use your knowledge of expectancy theory to answer the following questions.

Antonio is a team leader at Target. He recently received a special motivation report telling him that his three teammates are each motivated by different things. In particular, Charles is motivated by learning new things, Dina is motivated by money, and Gilberto is motivated by interesting work.

After reading the report, Antonio sent out the following email to his teammates.

Hi,

As you may know, Target is in a battle with WalMart to attract 35- to 50-year-old female shoppers. We are moving our housewares to the front of our stores to allow these customers easy access to the things they buy most in our stores. We want to beat WalMart, and well all need to work together to make that happen.

Thanks for your hard work. Together we can do this!

Best regards,

Antonio
