Being able to read it is greatly beneficial. Earnings Paycheck stubs may differentiate based on employer, but law requires the employer to list certain information to their employees. When looking at the layout of a paycheck stub the employees' names and their addresses are presented somewhere at the top. They also list employees' names and the employee's employee identification number. Stubs may also list the employees' job title or position along with where the employee lives. As you continue reading it, the paycheck states the pay period for which the employee will be compensated for. Depending on your job you are either paid weekly, bi-weekly, semimonthly, etc. Along with that there could be a payment date as well. As you proceed there will be information about your earnings.
