Question:

- Offer suggestions for social interventions include a larger context.
(This about a 12 year old child in this study and she is not a immigrant she is battling having a immigrant mother, marital problems with parents, and problems with Dad. I think the mom and daughter requires additional help in this case. The child feels responsible for her mother (who is the immigrant) and her younger sister she also feel obligated at 12 years old to be good in school in order to be successful in life so the family does not depend on the machismo father. Mom has marital problems but never left the dad because she was afraid of the repercussion her kids will face (economically) if she leaves since she is an immigrant and can't have access to a job. All this at 12 years old is self-aware which is causing her depression, stress, loneliness, an other behavioral problems. Maybe an ethical problem that can be raise is the fear telling people (teacher, social worker, coaches, friends) about her mom immigrant status that she maybe reported and taken away b/c she doesn't know any better b/c she is 12. connecting this family with resources is a must considering the kid is going through depression and her own problems the mom also needs help so she can be equipped to become more independent and not depend on her 12 year old daughter like English course, mental health services since she doesn't have much support since all her family lives in Mexico. (I need sources))
