Red Cross Case Study Assignment Questions Synopsis The American National Red Cross case follows the trials and tribulations that the organization faced in the 2000s - following its responses to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005 - which ultimately led it to modernize its board structure. The persistent spotlight shined on the organization by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa revealed issues that were attributed variously to the organization's senior management, the organization's Board of Governors, or the relationship between the two.
