For this assignment we will be focusing on the role of mental health in athletics and it's emerging importance. Refer to the videos/articles in the content folder to assist you in writing a two page assignment

Your assignment should answer the following questions:

• What does mental performance in athletics mean to you?
• How does mental performance vary in the different levels of athletics (High School, College, Professional)?
• What are some signs of mental health distress to be aware of as a leader in athletics?
• If you were an Athletics Director for a collegiate athletic program, what measures would you take to ensure mental health was a priority within the programs in your athletic department? Include your plan for precautions, as well as dealing with athletes in crisis.
• What continuing education resources would you utilize for yourself? How would you disseminate that information to your coaches/staff members? Conferences, Professional Development, Staff Meetings, etc.
• Would you require routine individual meetings with a mental health coach for each player on your team if your organization had a designated professional? Why or why not?
