Review the five Leadership Approaches and Styles discussed in Chapter 14 and to apply them to important public figures you have read about in the news or various publications.Remember, Leadership Approaches and Styles are not the same and as the textbook explains Styles complement and are aspects of Approaches.

You are to choose one person from each of the categories listed below to research that individual and then provide your assessment of their Leadership Approach and Style. Provide supported statements, examples and references to support your assessment of each person. Choose one person from each of the three categories below (total of three selected) to research and post about:

Category One: Political Leaders

Category Two: Business Leaders

Category Three: Diplomatic and/or Rights Leaders

4. Peggy Shepard, Environmental Justice Activist
5. Colin Powell, Diplomat/Military General

From the list of choices given above, you will probably find each person has their supporters and detractors, so don't necessarily focus on any controversies unless they are relevant to your assessment of their leadership approaches and styles. There in no right or wrong answer for this assignment, research and support of the conclusions.
