   • Review Tenney's remarks concerning the subject of Jews avoiding Samaria.
   • Also, note the biblical text, "And he [Jesus] must needs go through Samaria" (John 4:4 KJV). How should we understand John 4:4 given the fact that most Jews tried to avoid Samaria? Why did Jesus go there? What lesson(s) might his disciples have learned from their mission in Samaria? What implications does this have for us today?
