Do you think that getting 'buy-in' from employees on the benefits of working safely is a better approach than enforcement, alone? By providing the 3 E's - Engineering, Education & Enforcement, many types of interventions can be successful - limiting the dangerous aspects of our work.
As an example of an Emergency, the recent 'Pandemic' brought the dangers of Biological Hazards to our attention. The vaccine was ultimately the most successful intervention, but a combination of policies, rules and PPE did also help to make it more difficult for the Virus to spread.
What other innovations have helped business proceed through these challenging times? What changes such as working from home might become part of a new normal that could be healthier for ourselves individually as well as for the planet?
Using an example of an Emergency from your experience - or using the 'Pandemic' as an example - what kinds of preparation and implementation helped to address or reduce the impact of an Emergency?
