Reflect on an informal group of which you are a member. This could be a group at your place of work or at college.

Try to identify any rules of behaviour that the group seems to have evolved; that is, ways of behaving that it expects everybody in the group to observe.

What evidence have you that these norms exist? For example, what happens if somebody breaks one of these rules?

How do members of the group go about ensuring that someone who breaks one of these rules, either inadvertently or consciously, conforms in the future?
