Reflection & Application: Roles in Sales / Business Development

Purpose of this assignment: Review and learn about some typical sales jobs in the industry by comparing them with your own interests, career goals and qualifications.

1. search on a major local job search site (example:indeed.ca) for a job in sales / business development.
2. Choose a role that interests you.
   • Preferentially, look for something in the Hospitality, Tourism & Travel industry. But posted jobs in our industry currently are fewer right now due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so if you cannot find anything appropriate then you can choose another industry.
3. reflection as follows, including:
   • Your name should be at the top of the page;
   • The job title (please make the job title a hyperlink to the job posting web page);
   • The name and location of the company;
   • Quote two job functions (may also called job responsibilities) listed in the posting that interest you, with a brief statement for each one to explain why it interests you;
   • Quote two job requirements (may also called job qualifications) in the posting that are a good fit with your qualifications and experience, with a brief explanation for each.
