This assignment offers you the opportunity to hone these skills. Reflective Brief based on an issue you choose, based on class content, but supplemented by some ancillary research on the topic. Choose your topic by identifying an issue connected to this course: it might be a subject that came up in the course which resonated with you (e.g. a eureka moment), or a current and developing issue (e.g. a resource management issue that is specifically being addressed in the media). Broaden and deepen your understanding of the issue from an interdisciplinary perspective by conducting additional fact-finding or research about your topic. Write a maximum five hundred words Reflective Brief, as if presenting the material to a government department Minister or senior business executive. It is expected that a minimum of two credible sources will be included. For example, credible sources would be peer-reviewed articles (e.g., journals from, but not necessarily limited to, the following publishers Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis etc.). The properly formatted apastyle citations do not count toward your word limit. Weekly, the professors will mention topical issues or general areas that could be eligible for this assignment, however the final responsibility for selecting the issue lay with the student. The Reflective Brief can be submitted anytime during term but we encourage you to tackle it before final deadline starts to loom.
