Topic 3

What we cover in this Topic:

Section 1: Justice & Fairness

In this section we look at what justice is and its role in ethical decision making.

Section 2: Dimensions of Justice

Section 2 looks at Justice as a multidimensional concept that consists of four types of justice:

1. Distributional justice
2. Procedural justice
3. Recognition justice
4. Capability justice

Section 3: Inter and intra generational justice & environmental justice

In this section we coverinter-generational and intra-generational justice. We also look at the concept of environmental justice and how this is important for business and management.

Section 4: Virtue ethics

In this section we discuss what virtue is and what virtue ethics consists of. We consider how virtue ethics can be used for ethical decision making in the business context, being mindful of the strengths and weaknesses of this approach.

What we cover in this Topic:

In Topic 4 we look at the second approach to ethical decision making - the Deontological or Rules based approach.
