Relational database algebra

Hello, I would like to ask does anyone know the differences between the division operator and the set differences operator? Do they basically do the same thing? If yes, then I don't get why there are two different operator that has the same function. So can anyone also give me examples using both of these operator, and when to use one from the other? thanks!
