If more than one child incurred medical expenses towards the parents, the RM8000 (maximum) would be given to each child provided official evidence can be provided during tax audit. b. Medical expenses incurred on the wife's parents would be given a relief against the husband's total income. C. In the event of joint assessment, apportionment between the children based on the amount incurred is acceptable to tax authorities. d. Max RM8,000 will be given to each child as long as they can provide certified official receipt to the tax authorities during the tax audit
