reply to discussion You did a great job explaining what a variable is. I like how you said its a "placeholder". The term is perfect for what a variable is. We do not know what the variable is so we use a letters such as x, y, and z. I am going to use that term more often and see if my students understand it as a placeholder, because I know they use that term a lot. Thank you for sharing
