The article by Vanlandingham & Drake primarily speaks to this through the lens of policymaking for states in the US, but the study of cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analysis implementation can be applied anywhere. Through the work of the Washington State Institute for Public Policy (WSIPP) and the Pew Research Institute, cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness models have been vastly improved, advancing our ability to specifically predict policy changes or projects that state legislators will push through (Vanlandigham & Drake, 2012)
