What would be best for the children? What lead their mother to this point and how much damage have they already been through? The Judge must have had so many different thoughts including anger, sadness and worry. Justice should be served and depending on circumstances it can be extremely difficult for the Judge. In this situation being that it is a serious crime I would hope that the children are placed with trustworthy reliable family members and the mothers sentence would be reduced due to the pain and suffering her husband had put her through. May God's righteousness be revealed. "He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he" ( The Holy Bible, NIV, Deuteronomy 32:4). "The Lord is righteous, he loves justice" (The Holy Bible, NIV, Psalms 11:7). Regardless of the pain an individual endures, committing a crime of this magnitude is not acceptable. We serve a loving God who is perfect in all his ways and I would hope that the Judge would be fair and just from a Godly prospective
