reply to Poor project planning hurts the organization, the guests, the stakeholders, and the employees. It is a bad situation all the way around. When a project is set and the time frame and budget have been outlined carefully and thoughtfully, then the stakeholders have a set idea as to what the costs will be, and how long the project will affect business. If a project falls outside of this outline, this is called Scope Creeping (Campbell, 2023). Let's say a hotel is going to close for a refurbishment. The stakeholders have to invest money into the project for design, materials, and staffing. Not to mention they are losing money due to the closure and having no guests stay at the facility. Now imagine that with Scope Creeping there is a poorly defined, poorly managed, and poorly understood scope, and it fails to involve the stakeholders (Campbell, 2023). How can the stakeholders understand why the project needs extra time, and why it is running over budget, unless they are involved in the process. Plus, the stakeholder will not trust the project planner to be involved in future projects
