My company uses strategic planning with their reports on staffing. They have to ensure we are using the proper amount of hours for the amount of clients we services. This means keeping track of the hours for clients on hold and those currently receiving services. The operating managers sends out daily reports and puts his plans in place to ensure the hours are met. Excessive focus on budget- Some executives treat money like it is the most important thing to consider when making a strategic plan. This subjects the project to cost, limiting the possibilities in a big way. Money will need to be a factor but you should use your budget as one factor not the most important thing (De Marco, 2022). Lack of alignment- When a team does not align with the led out plan or does not understand the objectives it can cause friction (De Marco, 2022).
