The company that I am familiar with is the company that I am working for now. I work for a credit union so we are considered essential workers. I started working for this company in June of 2020, somewhat the end of Covid 19, but it was really just the beginning.

Before I had started they had all of our lobbies closed only running the drive-ups. But unfortunately, a few of our branches don't have drive-ups. One of our branches is in a Walmart, luckily that town has 3 different branches so they were fortunate enough to close that location and have their staff move to the other locations. The other location wasn't as fortunate, the branch manager told me that she would stand at the door with a mask and gloves greeting members, at this point in time the 6 ft rule was in full effect. The manager would have to delegate how many members were in the branch at a time.

This all was put into effect when our governor was having daily conference meetings that were aired on live television. Small businesses were shutting down, appointments only were being put into effect, and masks were a required item. Our company putting these safety measures in place, allowed the staff to stay safe and less likely to catch the virus.

I would say that this project would fall under the Civil Engineering Project category. The book described this project asa project that includes constructing or renovating a structure or altering part of the landscape for a purpose(MyEducator - Categories and Types of Projects, 2020). We didn't do much altering at this point in the project other than closing the lobbies, but once I had started we put of plastic dividers and stickers on our floor showing the 6 feet apart marks.

I believe my company used a matrix organization, the CEO delegated projects to the branch managers to get each branch set up to allow our members to come back into our lobbies. Our courier brought all of the equipment for the managers to make this happen.

Post-pandemic allowed the company to be more prepared in the event of another pandemic outbreak. We have also in my opinion became stronger and a more tight-knit company.
