How has the justice system in our Country evolved in light of plea bargains, and do all cases get the proper attention they deserve? Well, the justice system in United States has undergone significant evolution with increasing prevalence of plea bargains. 95% of cases tend to end in plea bargains. Although Historically American justice system began as a system of trials alongside to the English common law tradition. However, over time, plea bargaining emerged and grew, as a response to the over criminalization and the need for a more efficient system. Do I believe that they are given the proper attention they deserve? No, I do not because judges seem to only want to give fair trials to those that have money. Those that can't afford a good, appointed law counselor they seem to not get the same treatment. Does the system truly serve the public and do all persons who 'should' go to jail really end up serving the appropriate amount of time in jail? I don't think that people serve the appropriate amount of time in jail because they have the ability to take a plea bargain so they can commit the crime but if they make a deal, they don't have to do the time. I have seen many cases that have ended this way unless they are in court and the judge feels a certain way.
