I will use my paychecks to pay bills and any household items (food etc) that we need. The two most important insurances for me is health insurance and life insurance. If anything major comes up medically, I know I am covered even with a copay, and if something were to unfortunately happen to me, I wouldn't want my husband nor my son worrying about how they will manage finances without me around. As far as an emergency fund, I have a good chunk of money saved up, as well as some stashed away (that myself and my husband know where at), in case an emergency comes up and we need money in a hurry
