Carbon emissions regulations benefit both the nation and the environment in the long-run. Historically, things are not simply phased out, they are replaced by something better. It is important to take EPA regulations seriously because there can no longer be earth if we don't take care of it now. It is important to understand that we are not the only ones occupying this planet but our nation has a large effect on the world and the emissions affecting it. People may suffer from the reduction of emissions but if there is not a change now, the same excuse will stand years from now. Someone has to suffer at some point. There is a sacrifice that needs to be made. I choose to sacrifice the people that will lose their jobs due to the emission regulations than to continue to hurt the Earth. The world is ever-changing and evolving with the inventions of new technology and naturally, some jobs will be phased out. This is a clear decision for me. I do not take joy in deciding people lose their jobs but I make the decision easier when the rest of the world can and will be affected if we don't take their jobs.
