Looking back at my first argument compared to what I've learnt since I realize that I could have put more work into the opposition's argument without jeopardizing or downplaying my argument. My first argument I outright said they were wrong and I was right without considering their point of views or how their argument might have some truth to it for them. I did not make note of any evidence in the opposing argument at all. Now I know that opposing views should be a valid part of any argument and being fair while making their point without bias actually makes me more credible in my argument.
