Research Proposal Information Students combine research and theory to develop an individual synthesis project which examines managing resources in an organization using one of the concepts in resource management studied in this course. current challenges, problems, or issues in specific aspects as assigned in topic form. You will be responsible to write an analytical essay regarding resource management based on the concept you pick to use in your analysis of the organization you select to study. In the essay, you will provide an analytical thesis statement. You might ask what is an analytical thesis statement and what does this professor expect that one might look like? First, let's look at a "quick and dirty" definition of an analytical thesis statement. An analytical thesis statement points out what you will be analyzing throughout your research paper. To be a bit more specific in the thesis statement you are going to make a claim, for instance as an example, consider if the topic you were assigned was to look at the local struggling event centers like the McAllen Convention Center. Your claim is: "The recent epidemic has impacted the narrow segment of the hospitality industry that is the convention business." Next, you will elaborate on how your claim is supported. Once you have collected at least six (6) articles then you review them extensively to figure out what evidence you can provide to show how you will utilize resources to address the issues causing the convention center business to suffer. Whatever you find according to the literature you collected you will present in your findings of the paper. The outline of the paper you write is as follows: 1. Title Page 2. Introduction - Purpose of your research and brief overview of the company you are selecting as the case study. Your thesis statement should be stated here.3. Analysis (Body of your research paper). a. Discuss the articles/sources you found about your research claim (thesis statement). (Cite accordingly)- b. Remember find a minimum of 6 sources which must be peer-reviewed joumal articles. 4. Findings a. Discuss what you have drawn from the sources you reviewed at this point. 5. Conclusion a. Please include information that you have learned and what you will take away from the research you found. b. How will you use it as a future leader when leading and managing in your organization? 6. APA format Remember that you only have six weeks to write this paper as it is due at the end of the sixth week so having a thesis statement and sources by the end of the second week is important, so you do not get overwhelmed.
