Instructions: For this assignment, you are required to prepare a proposal that outlines key elements of your report. This assignment will be used to help you complete your report. You can complete this individually or in a group of two or three. You will need to form a group and advise me of the members before week $3.$

Introduction$/$Purpose of the Report $(0\mathrm{.}5$ marks$)$

This section discusses the reason$/$objective of your report. Is the purpose of your report to analyze a problem, provide a solution$($s$)$ to an existing problem, and$/$or provide a comparison$/$contrast$?$ Of course, you should include that you will provide recommendations. It is usually one paragraph in length.

Background Information $(1$ mark$)$

This section provides background information on your topic $($information your reader will need to understand your report$).$ The history of a specific issue in Labour and Employment Law and why this issue is relevant in today's employment setting. The background section is usually a couple of paragraphs and provides the reader with additional $($but necessary$)$ information.

Scope $(0\mathrm{.}5$ marks$)$

This section outlines the main topics$/$points of your report. What will your report cover? What are the limits of your report? The scope will highlight what your report will cover, as well as $($briefly$)$ highlighting any topics your report will NOT cover.

Methodology $(0\mathrm{.}5$ marks$)$

What methods will you use as you conduct your research? You will reference secondary sources for the report but depending on the topic and access to sources may have an opportunity to use primary sources.

Tentative Sources $(1$ mark$)$

Name your sources $($give the names of any books, websites, interviews, etc. that you will be using in your report$).$ As this is a proposal, this may not be a complete, accurate list. As you begin writing and researching more, your sources may change. Make sure this list is in correct APA reference format.
