Researchers want to know if the number of romantic comedies that people watch affects their relationship satisfaction. They gather a list of phone numbers of everyone in the US, and randomly select 40 numbers/people to participate. Twenty participants are randomly assigned to watch 2 romantic comedies per week, and 20 participants were randomly assigned to not watch any romantic comedies for the duration of the study. After 2 months had passed, all participants completed the Relationship Satisfaction Survey (scored 10-100).
