To answer karma a random sample of 610 women diagnosed with breast cancer and only one breast was obtained. Of those diagnosed with Intraductal Carcinoma, 70 chose to have a single mastectomy while 45 chose to have a double mastectomy. Of the women diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a 120 chose to have a single mastectomy wow 90 chose to have a double mastectomy. For the women diagnosed with innovative Lobular Carcinoma, 75 opted to have a single mastectomy while 85 had a double mastectomy performed. For women diagnosed with Triple-Negative breast cancer, 40 chose to have a single mastectomy while 85 decided to have a double mastectomy.
