o What is personality? How do we typically measure it? What factors determine personality? Personality has to do with the way someone interacts and reacts with other people. Personality is shown with the traits that the person shows while interacting with others. To measure one's personality it is normally tested with a self reporting survey, like an online survey. Personality can come from a combination of things such as the environment that someone was brought up in, like their peers and how they act. As well as the physical traits that one has can be a big factor of someone's personality. Explain the factors that influence our perception. There are three main factors that contribute to one's perception, these include emotional state, motivational state, and experience. Emotions have different effects on people when it comes to perceiving something, for instance if someone is mad then they will perceive stuff as more hostile and if someone is happy they will perceive something as less hostile. Motivation is something that also pushes people to perceive things in a different way, if someone is feeling motivated to go to the gym and someone mentions the gym then they might think that they might want to go, however if someone is not motivated then they might just change the subject and not want to talk about it anymore. And lastly experience, everybody goes through different things so when a situation happens that they have already experienced then they will perceive it differently than someone who this is their first time experiencing it."
