Yes I think it should make a person subject to applicable rules. When it comes to legal contexts, a partnership or membership may not be enough, the individuals knowledge of the rules could also be important. Say a person joins an organization without knowing all the rules or regulations that were set, they might not be held as accountable as someone who knows the rules and willingly violates them. Another reason why a person should follow the rules is because of secondary liability. In some situations, a person might be held liable for the actions of a group they are apart of. There are a couple advantages that catch my eye when it comes to an alternative dispute. The first one being it is time-efficient meaning that the alternative dispute process is shorter then a litigation. Court cases can drag on for years where as ADR can provide a resolution in the matter of months or even weeks. Not only that but it is also cost-efficient which means that an ADR is normally cheaper then going to court. The main disadvantage I noticed was the lack of legal precedent. This means that ADR decisions do not establish legal precedents the same way courts do which can result in uncertainty regarding future disputes and how they will be resolved
