The personality assessment did not necessarily surprise me with my results. It stated that for social boldness: introverted vs extraverted, I fall more along the introverted side. Despite people thinking introverted means we are too quiet and tend to keep problems to ourselves, research shows introverts as management are quite beneficial. Introverts are good listeners and care deeply about their employees' goals and challenges. They also tend to let others shine, which sets a good growing workplace environment (Parker-Griffin, 2021). As for the category of agreeableness: candid vs considerate, I fall toward the middle but more so slightly candid. I was curious as to the benefits this could bring forth in management. I found that candid is important and enabling in the workplace as "being candid allows (our) executives, managers, and team members to talk to each other honestly, enabling valuable feedback on all levels...and empowering our employees to encourage each other to succeed" (Taylor, 2019). Lastly, in the category self-control: impulsive vs cautious, I fell along the side of more impulsive. I know as much as impulsivity can have positives, most tend to focus on the negatives, so I looked for that in my research of management with an impulsive leader. Research showed that impulsivity in management means a change in expectations constantly, leaving a lack of consistency in the workplace, and causing a sense of chaos (Lewis, n.d.). I can see how this is true, but I did note that the personality assessment it stated impulsive people truly know "inside what is right and wrong" (Brainbench, 2020) and act accordingly. I think this is a huge advantage of impulsivity that isn't normally considered.

According to the personality quiz specifically social boldness: Introverted vs Extraverted I am moderately extraverted. I do like the idea of being around others and having a positive outlook on life. The level of social boldness will affect the way I manage in many ways. First and foremost I come with a positive attitude and ability to read people and understand their viewpoints and empathize. In any management position you want to be flexible and compassionate with such trait it is easy to be comfortable and endear people towards me. This leadership trait also comes with being assertive not rude and laying down a foundation needed to build great employees and the organization as a whole. The level of agreeableness comes as very considerate. Taking ideas and opinions of others and bringing the best out of them, in meetings this will help aid with persuasion or likeableness to get the task job or ideas implemented. Per the quiz Your easy-going, agreeable nature makes you such a joy to be around. This is especially true in meetings or general conversations, the ability to listen to all and share dialogue in a respectful manner. Lastly self control, You are very impulsive. You are an independent thinker. You do not need a book of rules to tell you how to behave - you know inside what is right and what is wrong and you act accordingly. With this type of trait it is important for me to step back and assess all angles because I do not want to act on impulse or emotions and make the wrong decisions. Others need to be around to share decision making ideas and resolutions as it relates to the organization and helps eliminate any bias along the process. What are your thoughts class?
