Respond to discussion post below (Short Answer)
Personally, I do see how American people view hard workers as successful and superior, but that never made much sense to me. I prefer to work the hardest that I can, at a job that allows me the most flexibility and free time for my family. I know that other countries prefer more leisure time outside of work than many people in the USA. I think this is good for familial development, as well as mental health. Many people in America don't even use their days off. This strikes me as somewhat crazy. We are all so set on working hard, that some people forget why they are working. Personally, I just want to work so that I am able to peacefully enjoy time at home and out with my family. Outside of that, I find that it's terrible that many cultures try to avoid or shun people that are different. I like to gain understanding of every different diverse culture of the world. I think, if we took the time to learn more about them, we too could better ourselves, and learn many new great ideas.
