Technology is advancing at an alarming rate and the concept of 5^th Wave technology has made its way into much of what we use daily. From what I understand. 5^th Wave Technology was introduced to the world in the 90s through 2020 as it has improved the transaction processing systems for businesses. It has enabled the transportation sector to communicate effectively and permit them to produce and distribute logistics systems that aligns with their business activities. Through the 5^th Wave innovation, it is due to how industrialized the world has become. This has prompted the transportation industry to implement the latest form of technology to better serve customers and participate in economic development and growth.

5^th Wave technology has induced economic activity amongst businesses that operate on an E-commerce level, and it allows them to collaborate and communicate in ways that forwards them obtaining the competitive advantage. With competition always being the forefront of many organizations, the 5^th Wave technology stems from having access to the internet, mobile devices, computer hardware and software that creates an emergence of it being a "must have' to obtain the competitive advantage. Transforming how people conduct business will always be at the forefront of accessibility, functionality and speed as innovation continues to become more advanced. Overall, the timeframe that the 5^th Wave was implemented was supposed to last no longer than 30 years, but the 6^th Wave technology was introduced in 2020 that is mainly integrated in robotics, automation, digitalization, and sustainability (Hargroves & Smith, 2005).
