Recently we have learned about the rising cost of healthcare and some of the things that we as healthcare professionals can do to keep costs down. The goal as a healthcare worker is to have the best interest of the patient as a top priority and when we zoom out, keeping costs down for the patient and for the hospital or organization does just that. Some ways we can focus on as individual workers to keep costs lower are good communication skills, taking responsibility for our own health and wellbeing, using supplies responsibly and giving the job one hundred percent.
