Person 1: A service that I have visited recently is Sushi Yu. I had an exceedingly poor experience due to a number of reasons. On page 155 it talks about the idea of modular design, "is a form of standardization." There are many of the same key components that fast food chains and restaurants have to acquire in order to run efficiently. For example, computers are necessary in order to keep track of purchases and to have the orders come on a screen for the cooks. Also, there are several sanitary rules that the government puts in place in order to protect the consumers at these businesses. Sushi Yu had lots of trash and food on the floor, table, and chairs even after I was seated. I had to ask my waiter if I could switch into a cleaner area and he was unable to do so because all the available areas were not clean either. This was extremely frustrating to deal with. Also, when I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed an unusual amount of smoke coming from the restaurant. This is a sign that the company is releasing a lot of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and therefore they are not using sustainable products and practices. According to page 147, "Cradle to Grade Assessment is the assessment of the environmental impact of a product or service throughout its useful life, focusing on factors like global warming." Sushi Yu is not practicing this key term that helps businesses in the long run. Another thing I noticed after my visit is there are many ways a customer could get seriously injured. With all the types of sauces laying on the ground it is very slippery. On page 145, "Product liability is the responsibility of a manufacturer for any injuries or damages caused by a faulty product because of poor workmanship design." The owner could face a lawsuit if someone slipped and got injured. Overall, there are many rules and conditions that owners and businesses must follow.

Person 2: This past Friday I went to try a new Mexican Restaurant called The Happy Taco and it was such a fun experience. The wait to be seated wasn't too long, the food was great, and the atmosphere was just what I wanted it to be. In my opinion my experience was outstandingly good, but there is just one thing that could've gone wrong if someone wasn't careful. The whole experience with the service was outstanding and there is not one thing I could complain about. The food quality and the service was on point. On page 145 it mentions how you want to "give customers the value they expect". While visiting this Mexican restaurant i was excited but i didn't set my expectations too high because it was 7pm on a Friday night so i was expecting it to be a little bit busier than say on a Tuesday. Even though it was a Friday night, the whole staff made sure to seat us and serve us in a timely manner that didn't seem longer than normal. It is always very important to make sure the guests of a restaurant have a good experience, especially if it is there first time. It is crucial is that just the service can determine if guests will make a return or not. On page 141 it describes the idea of "competitive services". While we were there we immediately noticed they were hosting a karaoke night. This is a great way to bring in more guests that might be looking for some entertainment while they enjoy their Friday night dinner. Just be adding this one aspect it could bring more guests that might be going to a different Mexican restaurant to The Happy Taco just because they want to either watch or participate in the karaoke singing. On page 144 "product liability" is a big key point. Everywhere you go the business or company needs to always make sure that everyone can stay safe within their building. If not, customers could cause an accident and suddenly get hurt which will only result in hurting your business. While being at The Happy Taco I myself did not get hurt but I did notice something that could cause that to happen to someone in the future. They have about 4 steps leading up to a section of booths and if someone isn't careful they could get seriously hurt. Or even if there is some type of liquid on the stairs, its possible someone could slip and fall. It is always important that companies make it obvious of any thing like this that way they are limiting their risk of damage. Overall my experience at The Happy Taco was one to remember and I will definitely be returning.
