respond to the discussion I believe that student loans are worth the debt. In our book it mentions that "the median earnings for a person with a bachelor's degree are 67 percent higher than for a person with a high school diploma"(pg. 344). In the article "Is College Worth It?" the authors argue that college graduates do better in recessions and get higher quality jobs than those that don't. Additionally, this article argues that while the price of college tuition is increasing students don't really have to pay that price because of all of the financial aid that is available to them. I agree with these statements as there is a lot of government assistance to help out with going to college. Lastly, the article harps on the fact that not all majors are built the same. The major you pick will determine your salary and if your are employable in this market. Sometimes people go to college for things that align with their passion but this makes them not marketable in the labor market
